FAQ's

Do bicycles need maintenance?

Yes, definitely. A regular schedule of maintenance (monthly, weekly or more often, depending on your type of riding) is important. If you spend a lot of time riding in wet, muddy conditions, or if you ride hard, fast and often, plan to clean your bike more frequently. We’re happy to help you with a maintenance plan based on your bike, and the type of riding you do.

How often should I get my bike serviced?

We get asked this a lot. We always say it depends on how much you use it, how often you ride & how hard. The best way to determine when your bike needs service is when something doesn’t feel right. It might not be changing gear properly or slipping, or the brakes might be noisy or simply not pulling you up safely. If its not riding as it should, give us a call or book it in for an obligation free check over.

Handy Tip: Check your tyre pressures before every ride and inflate as needed. Tyre recommended pressures are normally stamped on the tyre sidewall. A quality floor pump with gauge is a must-own.

How does your Pick Up & Drop Off service work?

If you have your bike serviced with us, you can get FREE Pick Up & Drop Off to most parts of the Coast. For all other repairs, we’re happy to pick up your bike and drop it back after its been repaired for just $20. Some people prefer to drop their bike off to our Workshop and that’s fine too, we’re open Monday - Friday between 9.00am – 3.00pm.

How much does a service cost?

Our services start at $99 (+ parts if required), and include FREE Pick Up & Drop Off to most parts of the Coast. Once we’ve checked out your bike up on the stand at our Workshop, we’ll let you know what it needs, if any of the components are worn or damaged, and what you’re up for. That way, you can make an informed decision about what you’d like to do.

How long will you need my bike?

We pride ourselves on a quick turnaround, with most bikes repaired and returned to their owners in 2 – 5 days. This is often much quicker than traditional bike shops, whose wait times can run to 2 – 3 weeks. Try us out!

What if my bike isn’t worth repairing?

We’ll be honest with you when we check your bike over. Sometimes the replacement of worn or damaged parts, and the labour to fit them, makes repair unviable - v’s investing that money in a new bike. We’ll give you our honest opinion, so you can make an informed decision.
